Ryan Leckenby
Engineering manager and full-stack architect. I lead teams, and I still write code.
Software development has never felt like work to me. After 19 years it is still my hobby and my passion. These days I lead engineering teams across Fortune 500 and startup client work, stay close enough to the codebase to give architectural feedback that is worth hearing, and help teams use AI as a real change to how they build software.
What I do
Lead engineering teams
Full-range people management: 1:1s, coaching, promotions, and hiring. I invest in growing strong engineers and in supporting the ones who are struggling.
Architect systems
C# and .NET, Azure, microservices, and REST API design. I have set company-wide API standards and led architecture from pre-sales through delivery.
Build my own products
I run my own SaaS and ship side projects, which keeps me honest about what it takes to build, sell, and support software end to end.
Things I have built
MittenSites
Custom websites for West Michigan small businesses. A free homepage mockup up front, a one-time build, and a simple monthly plan for hosting, edits, and support.
Keel
An AI-powered weekly routine app that balances what you want to accomplish with a rhythm you can actually live. Coming to Google Play.
On-hold audio platform
A cloud-hosted audio streaming platform I have built and run since 2020, with employee and client portals, RingCentral, Webex, and Genesys integrations, and Stripe and Maxio billing.
